Chiari, Cerebellum Ptosis and ICP

Hi.. This is my first time on here & looks like a neat informational chat for Chiari.... I had decompression surgery and a laminectomy for Chiari 1 in March 2006, a titanium plate & 7 screws put in my head for cerebellum Ptosis in December 2007 along with another laminectomy, and am now looking at surgery # 3 for a shunt for ICP ( inner cranial pressure) Has anyone had similiar expereriences having to have more than one surgery & I'm most curious about if anyone has had to have a shunt for ICP & if so can you elaborate on that for me please ? Thanks !!! Ann
