Has anyone ever heard of this!? My DIL just gave birth on September 9th, the baby is a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys over a month old. She went in for a check up, (DIL) and was told she needed to go for some testing, doc said she may have a blood clotBlood clots in her lungs. She went to the hospital for a chest x-ray and a vq test, and when she was in the middle of the test a tech told her that she couldn't touch her baby AT ALL for 48 hours! She said they even made her sign something saying that she wasn't breastfeedingBreast-feeding tips Breastfeeding Breastfeeding - resources, and wouldn't touch the baby for two days. She said they told her the baby could loose his hair and also his internal organsOrgan-1 nr could fail due to the amount of radiationCystitis - noninfectious Radiation therapy that they gave her!? I checked on line about this and couldn't find anything. Has anyone heard of this!?!
Hi, I am in the radiology dept.-currently a student. From what I've learned, the VQ test involves inhaling and IV injections of radioactiveRadioactive iodine uptake substances(called contrast). These substances can be dangerous to a growing baby and affect the body cells.
