im sari 27yo, i just want to ask what is the meaning of my x-ray result with impression PTB BOTH APICES...
and findings is parenchymal infiltrates are seen in both apices. i hope you can answer my question...thank you
After going through your query, I would like to comment the following:
1. You seem to have a xray picture suggestive of pulmonary tuberculosis.
2. In presence of other symptoms like prolonged cough, fever, weight loss, loss of appetite, etc, a sputum afb smear examination needs to be done.
3. If sputum examination is negative then a bronchoscopy and ct scan thorax may be required in consultation with a Pulmonologist.
4. If findings turn out to be in favour of TB then anti tb medications have to be started.
