Anal itching and bleeding

by DA211, Sep 08, 2008 04:41AM
I have a a slight problem. For about a week now I have had anal itching and slight bleeding. I have looked online and it said I might have thread worms. I did do a check of my stole but nothing is in it.  I have also had a check on my anas but I can't feel for any lumps etc.  I am not sure what I might have?  I am uncertain to buy worm tablets or prep H?
Please help

Hi,
There are many causes of anal itching. Though thread worms cause anal itching, it is usually not associated with bleeding.

The combination of anal itching with bleeding occurs in few conditions of which hemorrhoids is very common.

Anoscopy would be helpful in diagnosing hemorrhoids.
