pain

I am 49 years old, had heart attack in 1994 and have LV aneurysm. I haven't any surgery. For the last about three years I have a pain down below the left side of the ribs on and off with a interval of months time. When  I sleep on the right side of the body, I woke with severe pain and when I lie straight or on the left side of the body, the pain lowered down and sometime completely vanished. Now for the last one week, the pain continued and it becomes severe while sleeping on the right side of the body. What the pain actually is.

Hi,
Only by examining you I can give a final opinion.
Going by the details you have given, it is more of a chest related problem rather than abdominal problem. It could be due to musculoskeletal pain on the left side or disease involving the left pleura/pleural cavity.
