sore bum

My partner has been suffering in silence as he is to embarrased to ask his doctors advice. He has constant itching arround and in his anus when he has bowel movements he seems too pass allot of blood. we purchased anusol HC but it still hasnt eased up.. what could be causing this???

Hi,
Bleeding per rectum could be due to hemorrhoids, fissure, polyps, colitis and malignancy.
Sigmoidoscopy may be done for evaluation.
Till the test is done let him to take high fiber diet/fiber supplements and drink plenty of fluids.
