I'm a speech-language pathologist. Several years ago I worked with a child who was diagnosed as having Angelman syndrome, and she had temporal lobe seizures. The pediatric neurologist described her related behavior as being a fight-or-flight response. Now I am working with a 15 year old boy with Down syndrome and autism. He is exhibiting many of the same behaviors the other child did. I need updated information on symptoms and signs associated with temporal lobe seizures, particularly the fight-or-flight response.
