Feet Problems

I really hate my feet (as I am sure many do). Firstly, for as long as I can remember the nails on both my small toes are very, very thick and discoloured, like a greyish colour and it does not seem like I have a nailbed, making it very difficult to cut the nail..and very occasionally the nail will  actually fall off. I went to my GP about this, they took some nail clippings but I never heared back from them.
Secondly, about two years ago patches of small red lumps/bumps have started to appear on my feet, and after a few days the skin around it will start to peel..a lot.
And lastly, due to wearing shoes that where too small for me during the first part of my life, the skin above the joint  bone (where the foot pivots) is very, very hard and also discoloured. I feel that the 'problems' I have with my feet are "aesthetical"and does not warrant going to see a doctor about again, but it really, really gets me down and due to this wear sneakers all year round, including summer and on the beach. Any advice or ideas on what can be done to treat these problems and weather it would be worth seeing someone about it, would be very much appreciated. Oh yeah, I don't know if this matters but I am dark skinned. Thanks.

usually, toes that lay on the sides when standing rub against the shoe.  this constant rubbing wears at the nails and destroy the normal appearance.  i recommend filing the nail on a weekly basis to prevent it from thickening.  if they become painful, consider having the toes straightened.
the red bumps are either a sign of contact dermatitis or fungus.  try applying an over the counter medication twice daily to the bumps. if it improves in a couple of weeks, continue for a total of 4 weeks.  if it doesn't appear to be resolving, apply a cortisone cream to the area twice daily for 2 weeks.
