skin bump and peeling

on my armpits my skin was shedding for a couple of weeks. it wasnt anything i thought was a problem because i thought it was just my deoterant. i also thought it was my shower gell so i changed from AXE to regular DOVE soap bar. it still didnt change. two weeks later its stoped and now im starting to get these bumps that are on both my armpits. a medeum sised one on the right and a small one on the left. they are very tender. my mom says they kinda look like sists or something like that. its only been there for about 2-3 days.

im hoping the skin shedding is just from the soap and the bumps are ingrown hairs(another option my mom told me).

is there something i should be putting on them or is this something i should be talking to my docter about?
