Frustration with test results

Hi Grace,
I ordered a western blot test last week (Quest Labs #34534) after receiving a HerpeSelect HSV2 IGG result of 1.26. I thought that western blot results were either negative or positive (w/out a numerical level reported), but the results I got in the mail look exactly the same as those for the HerpeSelect. It reports HSV2 IGG 1.30. Did the lab perform the wrong test? Please help! I am so frustrated! I called so many doctors to make sure I would see one who would order the correct test!

This was the wrong test.  Western Blot is only done at the University of Washington at Seattle.  You don't get a numeric value.  Whoever ordered the test did the wrong one.  Are you sure that was the test requested?  If so your provider needs to get with Quest to find out what happened.
