I am a male, late 50's.
I am 4 days post unprotected contact with a partner that i have no history on with respect to HIV-1 or 2.
I have had HSV-1 Oral for 50 years
I believe I contacted HSV-2 orally 3 years ago but have not been tested to verify it. Having had cold sores for many many years, I know their behavior and symptoms. What I believe was the HSV-2 oral infection of 3 years ago was followed by a different kind of cold sore. These were much slower forming, generally a bit larger, and took longer to heal by almost a week longer than they typical cold sores (HSV-1) I have been getting most of my life. I can still tell the difference in the two types of cold sores, and they are very distinctly different as far as symptoms.
Yesterday and the day before (2 days post sexual contact) I had typical extremely mild pre-coldsore like bumps at the base of one side of my penis. This was accompanied by burning, itching and redness at the same site, the size of which was about 1/2" in diameter. This lasted 2 days and today there are no further symptoms. None... no bumps, no red spot, no itching or burning.
in our read before posting post , we ask you to please keep it all in one post. please consolidate all your posts into this one and I will gladly take the time to answer your questions. the way you have posted is impossible to answer in!!
