How a Recurrent Outbreak Affects Test Results

If you were having a recurrent hsv2 outbreak would that affect the results of an hsv2 igg type specific blood test? In other words if you were to get tested during the course of an outbreak would your body's immune response trigger a high positive on the test results due to your body trying to fight off the infection (producing more hsv2 antibodies) or would it not make a difference at all?

Thanks.
