continous itching, burning and dull pain and purple skin colour

I was diagnosed with HSV2 18 months ago. For the first 10 months i had no symptoms and for the last 8 months i have had continuos symptoms. They seemed have to start after a weekend of sex with my then partner followed by a break up. I have tried both prescribed and herbal remedies but to no avail. I am a fit and healthy male who has a balanced lifestyle. it has a great impact on my mental health as well as establishing new relationships. Any suggestions?
