different sites of outbreak

Hi, I got HSV1 a few years ago presenting as genital herpes. I have had one or two outbreaks since then around the anus (painful!). Recently I had a new outbreak on the buttocks. Is it possible to have outbreaks in different locations or have I been infected with HSV2?

it is normal for herpes ob's to occur anywhere in the entire boxer short area. Having your ob's move around as yours have is also normal.

if you've had new partners and they haven't been tested for herpes to know their status, certainly wouldn't hurt to get a hsv2 igg blood test done at some point just to see what your status is. Had they originally diagnosed you as having hsv1 genitally through a lesion culture of active symptoms?
