hi grace,
i could see your comments that you cant comment about the test results of hsv type 1 and 2 antibodies igG done outside of USA.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Herpes/Herpes-result-make-me-confuse/show/1519095
may i know the reason. i do understand that igM will not help us in anyways.
but hsv 1 and 2 antibodies igG should be the same across the world right.
they gonna look for the antibodies for these hsv viruses and give the amount of the antibodies in values.
if that is the case, please correct me if i'm wrong. it should be the same across the world.
1) Herpes Simplex Type 1 IGG (gG) = 2894 units/ml
2) Herpes Simplex Type 2 IGG (gG) = 108 units/ml
i guess here the values given per ml (milliliter of blood). if we convert these values in the liter. the values would be like this.
1) Herpes Simplex Type 1 IGG (gG) = 2.9
2) Herpes Simplex Type 2 IGG (gG) = 0.12
i have seen the values given in decimals in some threads. if a person a values like above from test done in USA. what would be your comments.
this is just to gain knowledge, please correct if i'm wrong in my approach. by commenting about the other threads and their values.
thanks.
You've had a history of mouth sores in the past. Not sure from your description if it's hsv1 orally going on or not but if you had oral herpes as a boy, you still have it and you can still have recurrences of it even if it's been awhile. These are not new mouth symptoms for you so really no reason to worry about them.
Nothing you've mentioned sounds like genital herpes going on. Hsv1 is the biggest herpes risk from receiving oral sex and if you already have that orally, it's incredibly unlikely that you'd contract it genitally from oral sex later on.
have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status?
