Approximately 2 months ago I had a full line of STD testing done. I was told I was positive for herpes 1. I've been reading up on type of testing people receive and reading forums on the absorption levels and what not. I was never given any details or numbers. A simple blood test was done. No cultures or anything. I've been married for eight years and have a healthy sex
life. She tested negative across the board. I have never had any symptoms of anything. No pain, no sores and obviously neither has she. I need a better understanding on what my next step is to figure out if I intact have herpes 1 and if the testing was done correctly. Please help me out.
most adults have hsv1 orally. no real reason to doubt your hsv1+ results to be honest. Most folks who have hsv1 orally don't get obvious cold sores to know it. if you were never tested before, no way to know if you picked this up when you were a kid, from the first person you kissed or the person you last kissed before you met your current partner.
