Excessive Gas

Syptoms:
Flatulence
Increase in Bowel Movements (5 per day average/ After meals normally)
Abdominal Distension

These are the symptoms that lead my doctor to say that I have IBS. I don't have abdominal pain and other symptoms that people usually refer, which makes me think if IBS is the disease i really have...
It's not easy to cope with the excessive flatulence, and it gets worse during classes on college.
Charcoal, dimeticone, mexazolam and escitalopram (SSRI) didn't make the situation better.
I'm concerned as long as I see this limiting my social life during the last 3 years, and I am a happy person, a successful student. Now, I try to avoid social events so as not to suffer from another "gas attack", which tends to get better after going to the toilet. The problem is that I can't go to the bathroom at the end of each class...
If you can help me, I would be grateful for your words
