I wish I knew how it was done. I just emailed the office and they said they'd start the appeals process. I couldn't believe how fast it was--only a day!
I feel lucky, because the samples my neiro gave me made a huge difference in my ability to concentrate. My fatigue has been having huge effects on my work performance (where I actually need my brain) and elsewhere (turns out I need my brain just to have a conversation!)

This goes to prove we don't have to take all insurance decisions as final. I'm glad you won out. Here's hoping it does good things for your energy levels.
be well, Lulu
Super! That's awesome! My PCP was denied for my Provigil, and my neuro's office has tried appealing and all. Thursday night I'm going in for a sleep study and then we'll start all over again.
Your doctor's office should tell my doctor's office how its done!
Congrats!

A victory for Steph. Great news indeed.
that's wonderful news!! It is good to hear good things on thie forum
Good news, Steph.
With my late wife having worked so many years in medical claims, I learned that many insurance companies will deny many things that they ought to cover, knowing that most insureds will let it drop. We all need to keep a close watch on them to keep them accountable. Many companies, I'm sure, run things above-board and according to sound principles, but there always are those weasels out there trying to skin the sheep.
Thanks. I'm happy, too. I was upset that they denied it, but the doctor's assistant wasn't worried. She said they had lots of denials, but they'd never had an appeal denied.
well that is good news.. I'm happy for you.

Congrats on the appeal decision! I hope the drug works well for you.

WooHoo!!! ;0) I am happy for you!
I have been thinking of appealing, too. I did send off for free trial of the Nuvigil, but I haven't received it yet.
