Vegetables high in Calcium

by RWeb1, Oct 11, 2009 05:23AM
I have a Thyroid disorder based from a deletion of a base-pair in my genes, which means my body is unable to release calcium when I have low calcium. at the end of the day the calcium tablets dont work (taking 1000mg a day) - and I know I'm not eating super healthy regardless.....
....are their vegetables that are high in calcium or the like? I have a huge garden and thinking I should start getting natural calcium into my body instead of pills.Any help would be appreciated.

Calcium is in all dairy products: cheese, yogurt, pudding, and ice cream. Other sources are: Orange juice fortified with calcium, Tofu, Almonds, Kale, Beans (not green beans), Broccoli, dark green vegetables, and Eggs. Plus non dairy sources: soy milk, soy yogurt, and soy ice cream. Hoped this helped you.
