9mm Growth

I had a recent sonogram which revealed a 9mm growth on my left ovary.  My gynecologist wants to schedule surgery within the next 4 weeks.  I am looking for a gynecologic oncologist to do the surgery just to be prepared.  Do you know of any in the Middletown, NY area?

I am feeling a bit naseous and can feel pressure on my lower private area.  Is there a chance that this may be a benign cyst that will go away?

Also are there any options to surgery to complete the diagnosis?

Hi there,
You should ask your doctor for a gyn onc referral.  Your doctor will know who is available in the area. It is possible that the cyst will go away. You should ask fro a repeat ultrasound before surgery to check before proceeding with surgery.
