Indolent lesion
Hi,

I am 27 and have been referred to a gyn with a 5 cm cyst on my left ovary. The radiologist says it is possibly a tumor but more than likely an "indolent lesion" What is an inolent lesion? My doctor says there is nothing to worry about as I have had a cyst on the right as well and this probably indicates that I am merely prone to them but I can't help but worry as I don't know what an "indolent lesion" is...

Hi There,
the word indolent means slow growing. At 27 , most cysts are related to ovulation and come and go with your menstrual cycle.
best wishes
