What tests should I ask for? Help!

Doctor:
I have been plagued with right sided flank pain since the birth of my last child 19 years ago.  This pain seems to come and go.  Now at 55 yrs old (menop at 52) I have begun to worry that this is something bad that has been brewing for years.  I have had back and leg pain (which they say is DDD, a benign bone lesion and sciatic nerve) but this last flare of this side pain will not seem to subside. It started early July and totally stresses me out.   I recently had a colonoscopy and a ab CT as well as a 2 mris for my back/hip.  Two years ago a TransVag ultrascound was done.  All of these tests gave NO reason as to why I have right sided pain!  I go to my GYN next week.  Is there any tests that I could ask for that could ease my mine that OC is not lurking.  Would you think it would be beneficial to do a laparscopy?
Thank you.

Dear Dee,
with normal imaging and the length of time of your symptoms, it is unlikely to be ovarian cancer.

Current thinking is that ovarian cancer develops and is obvious within 1-2 years

your symptoms suggest a chronic pain syndrome secondary to musculoskeletal injury

physical therapy and acupuncture should be considered

of course new things can develop and yearly checks with your gyn are important
take care
