fluid in the uterus
I took my 17 year old daugher for an ultersound to check her kidneys.  she as resently been diagnosed with DiGeorge syndome.  well her Endrochrolosist called me today with results:  She only has one Kidney and they also found fluid in her uterus.  Why or what would be the cause of this?

HI There

wikipedia is pretty good. Here is a link:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DiGeorge_syndrome

Some people have a abnormality of development of the urinary-genital tract.
In the setting of only having one kidney, the uterus can be abnormal as well or ther may be only one fallopian tube.

fluid in the uterus could be from having a period or it could be because the cervical opening is smaller and it takes longer for fluid to drain
