18 mm ovarian cyst with internal echos

Dear all,

I have PCO'S and my period is late by 20 days

I got an ultrasound done today and i had 18 mm ovarian cyst with internal echoes

can anybody tell me what does this mean and is it dangerous

also my endometrial thickness is 8.3 mm

HI,
Delayed periods are a common feature of PCOS and you need not worry. Also the 18mm cyst is very small and may regress spontaneously. Regular exercise and dietary modification and keeping weight in check will help with the PCOS in the long run. Consult your Doctor.
