Hi can someone help me understand the treatment ect of the following results from ultrasound:
the uterus in anteverted and normal in size and ultrasonic appearance. The ovaries are normal in size, Mutiple small, peripherally based follicies are present in each ovary. There are 12 follicies measuring up to 7mm on the right side and 4mm on the left side. Ovaries are mobile and non tender.
No free fluid or adnexal masses are present.
Conclusion: Bllateral polycystic ovaries.
So obviously i have cysts on my ovaries but what i dont understand is, 7mm is that big? will they have to remove my ovaries? How is this treated?
Ive been reffered to a specialist but am really concerned i will lose my ovaries... anyone know what could happen?
