I am 61 years old  & always had bad cramps with my monthly periods  & painful ovulations . I was checked & always seemed to have cycsts. I stopped my period about 2 years ago & have had no problems until now.  A few days ago my insides felt like  it was burning & then the next day I woke up with severe pain  on my ovaries. I have been in pain for 4 days now. I am going for a pysical  . any idea why this would act up now? Thank u

HI,
Cysts are unlikely in the post-menopausal period. Pains can be due to pelvic infection or colitis etc. Examination and investigations will make matters clear. Consult your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
