Chest Pressure

by lavender01, Mar 01, 2002 12:00AM
I have had a CT scan, heart stress test and endoscopy.  They all say they can't find anything.  I hurt in my ribs, chest especially upper middle chest and have pressure that comes and goes.  What do do next?  This is a 24/7 thing with me - been going on about 4 months now.  I am at the end of my rope.  Some days it is so hard for me to go to work because of this hurting.  Help!

Pain in this area can be from lots of reasons.  It can be heart, lungs, ribs (and the cartilage around the joints of the rib cage), muscle and nerve.  Once you have ruled out the heart, I would pursue the lungs (the lining when inflamed can give this pain.) and then see an orthopedic specialist next to evaluate the rib cage area.
