Red Mucus

I woke up this mourning my throat was a little soar...It hurt when I cough ... when I blew my nose the mucus was red... what could this mean. Also when I cough i feel a lot of pressure on my chest.

It means that your throat and nose are inflamed and may be infected.  When that occurs, it is not uncommon for there to be a little blood in nasal or coughed-up mucus.  Still, you should have your nose and throat examined and treated, especially if the red mucus persists for a few days or worsens over the next week.  You may need antibiotic therapy.
