Nuclear ventriculography and 84% is probably within normal limits. The difference, 84% vs 98% could be on the basis of different laboratories. Your current spirometric values are, with the exceptions of the FEF25-75% and the PEF, are WNL and that includes your lung volues, the RV/TLC and the diffusing capacity. That the FEF25-75% and PEF are reduced in the presence of a normal FEV1 suggests that the reduced values are a reflection of less than optimum effort. Given your other normal values, I would place very little significance on the FEF25-75% (historically deemed by some to be a sign of small airway disease). These findings do not suggest, even early, COPD. You should request a copy of the PFT interpretation but, in the meantime, you have no reason to be concerned about your lungs.
