Hi there
my mother fell onto a log basket in February and her chest took the brunt of the fall, the side of the basket pushed into her ribs. She went for a chest x ray some weeks later and there is a small non specific mark on her lung which the chest specialist couldn't explain. Could this be caused by trauma to the lung from the heavy fall?

It is possible that trauma could have caused some internal bleeding that resulted in this finding. Not knowing the exact location and description of what was found on the x-ray makes it difficult to be more precise. The chest specialist will probably want to follow your mother and watch this finding.
