“Now what to do” is a question that only be answered by a Board Certified Neurologist.  The relationship of this finding and diagnosis to dementia, in particular Alzheimer’s Disease is complex.  Note that one can have changes (of global cortical atrophy) on brain imaging studies, in conjunction with little or no clinical evidence of dementia.
