hypo allerigic is one thing - what actually is in there is something else.
cellulose? ginger? acidophillus? olive oil? I need to know that.
And even with my last week TSH of 58 I have almost no joint pain (yet). You seen my post, wierd stuff goin on. But it seems to be my odd FT3 in range that keeps me relativly pain free and not tired. It's the FT3 that keeps us alive I'm guessing. Years ago on synthroid and lower FT3 I had terrible body pain.
Isnt it amazing how some people are SO symptomatic and yet others arent?
I know I am like you...if my TSH goes higher than 2.5, I am in a lot of pain with aches.
Yet others can go through everything and not feel that achy feeling.
Ask the chemist is there is steralate talc in the formula.
Once I got off that (generic brand T4) I was fine.
Most dont know that generic brands of T4 contain talcum powder lol
trying a lot of natural things that hopefully will help. omega 3 fish oils from mussels. glucosamine chondroitin with msm, hyaluronic, a natural anti inflammatory drink from cactus. trying to avoid taking 10 Advil's a day.
i checked with the compounding pharmacy. they said they use inert hypo allergic fillers. been using same pharmacy, the regular doc re-ran the thyroid labs so i should find out whats up soon . i have labs scheduled with the endo in about 3/4 weeks . endo always will tell you you have to wait at least 4 weeks, only been a week and a half since last adjustment. not a whole lot decrease. from 200 down to 194 now at 185 . so its hard to tell? the endo also has me splitting 180// 5 days and 200// 2 days . i notice that on the 2// 200 days my BP rises pulse jumps from 70's to 100 . going to take on wed/sat instead of sat/sun. yea it's frustrating now because i feel normal. energy good/normal no anxiety. just annoying achy and joint clicking stiff, if that would go i'd be better than good. thanks Kevin
I agree w/ Deb. Lowing the meds is the reason for the increase in inflammation.
Hormone adjustment with medication can not be thought as a quick fix. May may definately need to lower the medication if you were hyper but it will take some time to adjust to this dose now - "if" it was the right thing to do.
Scientifically 6-8 weeks is the protacol used to do labs. I however do not agree. It is more common with patients using NDT to experience changes within 2 weeks after the dose levels are changed. I believe testing no later than 3 weeks after a change is best to save the person from waiting with symptoms.
Kevin - what is the filler used with your compound medication? That can also be a trigger when you change the dosages.
Since you had new labs done - check those new ones against the previous one. How did you feel on the previous one compared to the new one? - This is tweeking and is very helpful.
