Hi Dr. Lupo. I was diagnosed in January with Hashi's. I was asymptomatic, but had a TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh of 60 and very high Thyroglob & TPerox antibodies. Doctor put me on 75 mcgs Synthroid and within 6 weeks I became ill with racing pulseNeck pulse Pulse Pulse - bounding Pulse - weak or absent Radial pulse Takayasu arteritis Taking your carotid pulse, racing heart, trembling, etc. Dose was lowered to 50 mcgs, but it was still too strong. I guess my own thyroid is still pumping hormones (TFree was 0.7). I'm now on 25 mcgs, but still struggling. What can be done when a patient has Hashi's, is sputtering out hormones and additional T4T4 test swings them hyperHyper-sal?
