Organic Asian Kelp & Levothyroxine
Due to hypothyroidism, I take 75 mcg per day of Levothyroxine. Is there any benefit to my taking Organic Asian Kelp in addition to the Levothyroxine?  Is there any harm to take both?

Thank you,

To be blunt DON'T take the kelp with thyroid replacement hormones!!!!!!!!!! The extra iodine in the kelp will interfere with the replacement hormone and you will end up in dire straits... I did a quick internet search on Organic Asian Kelp and Levothyroxine and the evidence is pretty obvious. Same goes with eating a lot of soy when on replacement hormone..not a good idea!
Hope that helps!
