Finally, someone other than me who dislikes summer. I love the snow and colder weather because you can always add a sweater or scarf, but in summer, you can only strip down so far to get relief from the sun. Nothing knocks the stuffing out of me more than a hot summer day. My anxiety is much higher in the warmer weather and I absolutely relate it to the temperature. When fall arrives, I start feeling better mentally again. My suggestion to you would be to make a schedule of things you want to do and accomplish with your daughter this summer and make every attempt to stick to it. I find that if I do a week's plan in advance, I will be more inclined to get what I want accomplished and that way I know what is coming for the week and can prepare for it. Scheduling is key, but don't forget to include down time in your schedule. It's good to keep busy but it is equally important to know when to say "no". Good luck (to both of us)
Weather does affect ur anxiety..
I feel like spring will change my life. I hate winter.. It''s cold..makes me sick..
Used to love winter very much..but not anymore since my anxiety starts at winter..
Trauma....
Yay spring!!!!!! ^_^
What did you decide to do?
Thanks for the advice...I will have to make a plan and start thinking now....because I am the type that if I can do nothing...I will....my anxiety paralyzes me and if I am not forced to move and get out of the house, I won't. I think I will get working on that plan now...I will sign my daughter up for toddler gym classes and things like that so I have to get my butt out of the house...THANK YOU!
Maybe you feel weird because you are left with so much time... to think. Maybe what you like about your normal routine is that there's a definite plan and any intrusive thoughts are naturally excluded from you mind.
Maybe you can try this: come up with an agenda with your little girl -- a couple days at a time? You comfort level and then try to follow it, but if something you're doing while in the agenda warrants more time, do that -- in other words, let the natural flow of your activities dictate how you spend your time with the agenda acting as a guide.
