I got insomnia from Paxil after being on it for several years. You never know about these things. Probably not the buspar, it probably doesn't do much if anything. You might want to try 1mg of melatonin before bedtime; Paxil may have interfered with your body clock.
I've been on these meds for a bout three months now and within the past week its started happening..
I take a whole pill of buspar when i wake up in the morning and i take a pill of paxil and another whole pill of buspar at about 10ish..
Well i am the same way i use to not be able to go to bed until about 3 or 4 in the morning i was always afraid of going to bed i had a fear of dying..But i am not on any meds which i am suppose to be taken some zoloft but i am doing really good and i have been going to bed normally now..Which i do have a really good boyfriend that comforts me when i am having bad times going to bed...So i wish you all the luck..
When did the sleeping issues first surface? Before or after the medication? Antidepressants can interfere with sleep for the first few months you are on them. I would ask your doc for Vistaril to help you get to sleep earlier. It usually kicks in around an hour and you'll feel really sleepy and usually stay asleep for a while. Anxiety is usually worse after waking up. It can even surface after taking a short nap. I have heard that our Cortisol levels are worse in the morning.
I've woken up with anxiety from dreams before as well so you may be dreaming heavy from the Paxil. SSRI's can cause vivid dreams.
when do you medicate? i take pills to sleep
