Sorry folks, but any chest pain that persists, or especially, gets worse, MUST be evaluated by a doctor.
B3 may be a very good suppliment and whether or not it "acts in the brain very similar to Valium" is open for debate, my point is that if a person IS having an MI, neither B3 nor diazepam will do ANYTHING to help.

I had chest pain on my left side and it made me think about heart problems...I'm in my early 20s. A week later I had a panic attack. A day later I ended up in the ER out of fear it was something more than anxiety because those symptons were quite scary (chest pain, very hard to breathe, numbness in limbs), raked up a huge bill but turned out fine. Look into reducing stress and try out some excercises. If it persists or gets worse, take a B complex vitamin. The vitamin B3 acts in the brain very similar to the anti-anxiety med Valium.
In the past week, have you been under extra stress? Do you know if you have acid reflux, sometimes referred to as GERD? That you had this same symptom just before you got married, a definitely stressful time, it would be easy to put it down to stress. But...........anytime you have an unexplained chest pain, you really should have it evaluated by your doctor.
We know you want an answer, but we are not doctors on this forum and cannot give you a diagnosis.
All of us, I'm sure, can relate to the lack of insurance and money. Talk to your doctors office manager and see if you can't work out a payment plan. Many places are being more broadminded since so many of us are in the same situation.
You could also check out the Heart Forums here and see if someone there might be able to help you.
In my humble and totally non-medical opinion, I don't think it's anything serious, you are young and obviously in good shape............but it's your heart and it's best to know what is going on.
I wish you the best
Peace

I first noticed my anxiety problem when I was having dull chest pains. I went to the doctor and he said it was a perfectly normal symptom and to try not to think about it or to do breathing exercises to calm myself down.(in through the nose and out through the mouth) Now that I take meds for anxiety I still sometimes get the pains.
Try the breathing if that does not help maybe do something that can help distract you from the pains....I hope this helps.
Im only 25 and when i do the breathing excerises it seems to help
