I don't really know what triggers it! I can just lay down an wake up with a pounding chest an a terrifying feeling that something is wrong! It usually just goes away...
Heya!,
Your post here made me see i'm not the only person that gets this from time to time, in my case it can trigger before or during the night and can keep me awake until early morning!,can be anything from light disturbance to near panic attack like sensation, what is it in particular that ruffles ya feathers? and to combat it, keep active during the day to tire you out, avoid eating snacks and drinking caffeine before ya sleep...i know that sounds like those nagging specialists, but there is sense in there somewhere and i'm trying it out myself :)
This happens to me too. Ive reasoned it to be because at night time its silent so there arent any distracting sounds, and everything is dark so no distracting things to focus on and we are only left with our thoughts. During the day there is a lot of movement and livelyness going on and at night things kind of go dull you know what i mean? When we get cycling thoughts with anxiety often we can help it by distracting ourselves with things going on but nothing really goes on at night so your left with just your thoughts.
