anxiety, help??

hi. i think im suffering with anxiety i just want some advice please. It started on the night of my daughters first birthday i was layed in bed and all of a sudden felt weird and couldnt breathe it realy panicked me and i couldnt sleep i then went to the docs and was told different things one doctor said it could be because my iron is low (ferriton level is 9). i knew it wasnt as it was 7 after i had my daughter and i had never felt like that. I was then told it could be asthma and was given an inhaler which didnt help. I have recently been to the doctors again and was told it could be anxiety so i have got an app next week to talk about medication i could start taking. I just dont understand why this is happening to me as i am not a person that worries about things or depressed, but feeling like this is getting me down and when i feel realy bad  i start crying because i dont know whats wrong with me and i just want to feel me again. I have been feeling like this for 3 months every single day its always there and never seems to go away thats what else confuses me as i thought anxiety comes and goes mine is there all day long but when i think about it more i start to panick and i feel like im going to die. I realy dont know what to do no more, i darent go to far from home incase i get realy bad when im out. My heart doesnt race or have palpations and my chest is fine it just feels like i cant get my breath.I constantly feel breathless. I feel so alone, nobody seems to understand me! Does anyone know if this is deffinatly anxiety?? If so any help how to get through this would realy help, i feel like i cant cope no more with this it is ruining my life. Am i going to be like this forever? Please help

thank you for your advice. i realy dont like the idea of going on tablets i would like to try other things first, i would do anything for it to go away. I know this will take time but do you think it will ever completly go? What natural remedies can you suggest? I have had blood tests and thyroid was ok but i also think there is something triggering this. thanks for your help

It does sound like anxiety however sometimes if you have digestive problems, like acid reflux it can cause that very uncomfortable hard to breathe feeling.  This then can trigger an anxiety attack.  I started suffering from Acid redux after my daughter was born.  Don't know I'd this helps but it will give you another idea to look at.   Good luck and I hope you feel better.  I know how difficult these feelings can be !

Obviously you're suffering anxiety, but the unanswered question is why.  Panic attacks come and go, but anxiety can be constant, but that doesn't mean you have an anxiety disorder.  You could have any number of physiological problems, including thyroid or sexual hormone fluctuations related to your still recent pregnancy.  Having a child causes all kinds of issues for people.  Personally, I wouldn't rush for the medication, since that brings a whole new set of problems and doesn't cure the problem, it just mitigates your symptoms.  I'd see someone who will give you a really good workup, and this might require finding an out of the box physician or psychiatrist who practices medicine.  This might mean no insurance coverage, but regular docs are very reluctant to get too involved in difficult to find problems.  Too time consuming, not lucrative enough with insurance.  The other thing I'd do is see a therapist and see if you have some issues that have popped up related to having a relatively new child.  There are also natural remedies that might help if it is anxiety.  Medication will always be there, but I don't think personally, just my opinion, that's it's the best place to start.
