Obviously you're suffering anxiety, but the unanswered question is why. Panic attacks come and go, but anxiety can be constant, but that doesn't mean you have an anxiety disorder. You could have any number of physiological problems, including thyroid or sexual hormone fluctuations related to your still recent pregnancy. Having a child causes all kinds of issues for people. Personally, I wouldn't rush for the medication, since that brings a whole new set of problems and doesn't cure the problem, it just mitigates your symptoms. I'd see someone who will give you a really good workup, and this might require finding an out of the box physician or psychiatrist who practices medicine. This might mean no insurance coverage, but regular docs are very reluctant to get too involved in difficult to find problems. Too time consuming, not lucrative enough with insurance. The other thing I'd do is see a therapist and see if you have some issues that have popped up related to having a relatively new child. There are also natural remedies that might help if it is anxiety. Medication will always be there, but I don't think personally, just my opinion, that's it's the best place to start.
It does sound like anxiety however sometimes if you have digestive problems, like acid reflux it can cause that very uncomfortable hard to breathe feeling. This then can trigger an anxiety attack. I started suffering from Acid redux after my daughter was born. Don't know I'd this helps but it will give you another idea to look at. Good luck and I hope you feel better. I know how difficult these feelings can be !
thank you for your advice. i realy dont like the idea of going on tablets i would like to try other things first, i would do anything for it to go away. I know this will take time but do you think it will ever completly go? What natural remedies can you suggest? I have had blood tests and thyroid was ok but i also think there is something triggering this. thanks for your help
