Endometriosis, natural progestrone cream and pregnancy

I have got endometriosis in both my ovaries. I have been ttc for last 2.5 years with no sucess. I had a BFN with IUI. Has any one used natural progestrone cream for endometriosis and does it effect your fertility ? i know that I need a lap,but don't know when i will have it.

Gosh, I'm so sorry about the BFN.  Sending you a hug!  I've never been told I have PCOS, just read that the Clomid can cause ovarian cysts so people who are prone to them may have negative side effects from taking it...I'm torn about what to do there.  I go to the RE next Tuesday about the IUI, I think I'm just going to ask him if we can go straight to the injectible FSH.

well, I probably wouldn't have had such a bad time if I had a doctor that was properly monitoring me.  First I had to beg for them to even CHECK that the clomid worked, and sure enough the first blood test (after the SECOND month of treatment) said it didn't - so who knows if the first one did!  Then I BEGGED and pleaded for u/s monitoring - they said "we don't DO ultrasound monitoring" - well, that month I had a cyst rupture.  Then they gave me one u/s in the middle of each month (you should really have many throughout the month on that stuff).  I ended up having several several cysts rupture on clomid, but I feel some of it could've been avoided if I'd been monitored.  I guess I'd have to say that I know in the end it WAS making me ovulate, but I also was mostly taking it for PCOS (this was before I knew I had endo).  Plus, I'm sure the PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome that already gives me cysts didn't help the situation.  I also know that my friend who just has endo had a doc who also said the same thing - that clomid wouldn't help her.  I'm probably not the best person to ask, because I don't want to be discouraging, but lets just say that drug did not agree with me in many ways.  I know everyone is different though - I've read many accounts on the fertililty forum of women who had virtually no side effects!  Anyway, I'm not exactly sure how useful it would be for endo - I'm about to start injectibles if my period would ever come!  I actually bought a HPT today (neg) just to be sure - I'm at cycle day 36.... but ....no dice.  Just my PCOS kicking in and making me irregular.

I've read that drugs like clomid will make ovarian cysts worse, did you find this to be true?  My RE says that clomid won't help me at all.  I've got an appt with him next Tuesday to discuss IUI for the first time, we've been TTC for about 4 years now and I'm fed up with the disappointment month after month, it's time for some professional assistance :)

I have PCOS as well as endo, and before I was dx'd with endo I did 5 rounds of Clomid to TTC.  I had no success, and when I finally got a doctor that was willing to entertain the idea that I had BOTH endo AND pcos, when they went in they found that sure enough, I had endo too.  Mine connected from my uterus to my fallopian tube and ovary, and after they removed it, I asked my doc if it could've been pulling down on my tube just enough to divert the path of the egg and prevent it from making it's trip all the way, and she said "ABSOLUTELY!"  - so it's REALLY worth getting checked out with a lap before tangling with that TTC stuff.  Especially because it could be more than just your ovaries.  I thought they couldn't know for sure unless they went in to see.  You want to have the best possible chances, and I just feel like I spent 7 months in misery on hormones, trying month after month and it was all for nothing because all along I had endo too.  If you've already done an IUI, I'm sure you know how much fun it is.  I'm expecting af literally any minute now, and I'll be starting my first round of injections for my first IUI this month.  So we'll see if surgery worked for me!  I hope everything works out for you!

have you had a lap before to tell you that you had endo or is the doctor just assuming?  You need a lap to verify this disease, so maybe if it is that you should set up a lap so that you can start trying again. That is all it might take
