You might want to askyour doctor to test you for Lyme Disease. Be warned. Many people who have Lyme test "negative" even when they do indeed have it (like me!). The Western blot is more accurate than the screening test. Unfortunately, many doctors think the tests are perfect. A month or two ago, the CDC finally updated its website on Lyme to say a negative blood test cannot exclude Lyme, and that it's a clinical diagnosis.
You don't seem to have enough symptoms to make that diagnosis yet, but your doctors need to eliminate other possibilities. Insist they keep looking as even negative results are helpful in getting to a diagnosis. Infectious Disease docs are the worst in denying Lyme. They think that neurologic symptoms are rare, but if you scan the message boards, there are a lot of us out there who went undiagnosed for years because doctors don't recognize the symptoms, especially if you never saw a tiny little tick or saw a red rash.
This document is a helpful overview and includes a thorough symptom list.

If you have shortness of breath or night sweats along with the terrible fatigue, then you could also have Babesia.
Some people with Lyme are misdiagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia, but you could also have either of these conditions without having Lyme. Good luck!
