24/7 headache!

i've been reading alot about peoples headaches and how they get them most days and put it down to all sorts of stuff.
i've had a headache for 4 maybe 5years now constantly from the moment i wake up till the moment i go to bed. only time i don't have one is when i'm asleep. i've seen a head specialist and had a mri scan, and everything came back normal. they just told me it was a tension headache. they gave me pills what had no effect. i've been to a massage specialist which didn't ease it. so i'm at a loose end to wot it is or any i can do to ease it or get rid.
it feels like pressure all over my head like it going to explode not massively painful just more a numb pain.
thanks

Hi,
It is good that the MRI was normal. Aside from massage, you could also benefit from biofeedback therapy and other relaxation techniques. Talk to your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and  best regards.

Yeah, I have basically the same thing. I have Status Migrainous, where I've had the same migraine since fall '01. You might have status migrainous, Chronic Daily Headache, or something else.

Are you on any meds to try and help minimize the effects of the migraine on your daily life/functionality? If not, that might be something to look into.

Good luck and keep us posted,

~Dame
