Severe unilateral headaches

I am 35 years of age. I am suffering severe unilateral headaches in the temporal region of the right side of my head. I had the same headache 10 years ago and 5 years ago. 10 years ago the headaches lasted approx 2 weeks then went away for 5 years. 5 years ago the identical pain returned and passed after 2 weeks again. This week the same pain has returned.I went to the E.R. on Sunday and explained my situation to the attending and was referred to the UPMC headache clinic in Pittsburgh. I called the clinic and was told that I could not be seen until mid April. They then reffered me to general neurology. Upon explaining my situation to the secretary she interrupted me to ask about my insurance info. I do not have insurance. I was then told to bring $796.00 so that I could speak to someone. I am a full time student studying Nuclear Medicine Technology and currently in a clinical rotation at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh and can not afford the initial consultation fee, never mind any actual medical procedures. The pain is severe and shows up a couple times a day. I can not go on in this condition. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Should I drop out of school and fly to a country that will treat me? I am not sure how long that I can withstand this torture.I must do something or I will become another incorrect statistic, for I can not go on like this!

Do these exercises and you will start to feel the benefits in days. Also drink warm water.Post your progress and I will suggest some more exercises.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day(maximum 60 minutes in one day).
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day.(Max 60 min/day).Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

I did not mention that I am a male of sound physical and mental health. I have experienced several brain concussion injuries over the years. My tolerance to pain is high by society standards. I understand that headaches are difficult to diagnose. I also understand that they are not typically unilateral or focal. What type of cranial pain may be focal over a 10 year period? What type of meds may be helpful? Any response will at least incourage some hope!
