Urinating Problem - Leaking

I have a urinating problem. I am 23 yr old male. I've never had sex before. I don't know what it is, here are my symptoms:

1. After I pee, sometimes a little bit leaks/dribbles out into my underwear, even after I shake and 'ring' out the last drops.
2. Many times my urine smells very stale, like a poorly maintained public restroom.
3. Sometimes I feel like I still have to urinate even after I go, like there is something remaining in my penis. If I push hard sometimes a few more drops come out, but most of the time I can never be completely satisfied.
4. Sometimes my urine is sticky, especially in the afternoon ~1pm (perhaps this is normal?)

One other thing I noticed is when I pee, my penis doesn't point forward like other people, it stays almost fully vertical. Could it be a muscle problem?

Please help me, I'm desperate. I thought it may be urinary tract infection. I went to my doctor who took a urine sample and then said nothing was wrong.

Thanks, Nick

I'm not holding in too long, I go quite often. One day I tried something new, I drank about 4 litres of water throughout the day. I went a LOT that day, but there was still a bit of smell.

Almost always my urine is clear.

I'm going to try Kegel exercises, that might help with most of my problems. I started 2 days ago, how long do I need to do it before I see any results?

Thanks.

Hey, Nick. Let's address them one at a time.

1. It's not unusual for some urine to remain in your urethra after you urinate. That's the "left over" you notice. Kegal exercises can help strengthen the muscles along your urethra and try to do them as you finish urinating. This should expel any remaining urine. (I'll explain Kegals further down).

2. "Stale" smelling urine can indicate that you're holding it in you bladder too long. Try urinating more often (even if you don't have the urge). It can also be caused by dehydration. Increase your daily fluid intake.

3. Kegal exercises can also help with this problem.

4. I'm not sure what you mean by "sticky." Sometimes semen can remain in your urethra following ejaculation that can cause it.

5. I assume by "vertical" you mean hanging down. Our penises don't automatically go horizontal to urinate. If you've seen other guys urinating like that it's probably because that's how they're holding it. Flacid (soft) penis size can also affect the angle at which it hangs during urination. Larger ones will tend to hang down and smaller ones will tend to stick out straight.
