Hi,
If you have any suspected triggers then avoid thse triggers as much as possible.
Continue to observe the symptoms. Do you have any increase in urinary frequency?Any pain in urination?
I suggest that you have your prostate evaluated also. There is a condition called chronic pelvic pain syndrome or prostatodynia. This may present as pain in the groin area which may be associated with urination. The discomfort may be present in the absence of an infection. Discuss this with your physician.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
The pain has continued on and off for several mths. There is no trauma and none of the symptoms you ask about. The urologist says there is a bladder problem but no infection.I've noticed that cutting down on cofee, tea, tomatoes etc.,seems to help a little.
Hi,
Kegel exercise is used to strengthen the pelvic muscle floor rather than help alleviate pain.
"The aim of Kegel exercises is to fortify muscle tone by strengthening the pubococcygeus muscles of the pelvic floor. Kegel is a popular prescribed exercise for pregnant women to prepare the pelvic floor for physiological stresses of the later stages of pregnancy and vaginal childbirth. Kegels exercises may also increase sexual gratification are said to be good for treating vaginal prolapse and preventing uterine prolapsein women; and for treating prostate pain and swelling resulting from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostatitis in men. Kegel exercises may be beneficial in treating urinary incontinence in both men and women."
