should i be worried??

Hello I'm not sure what this may be
My Urine sometimes burns occasionally and gets random flicks or tingling feeling randomly when I'm just sitting down or doing nothing. Also tingles a lil bit after urination but not always. Urine is sometimes cloudy but a lot of times normal and have no problems. When I drink a lot of water everything seems find. Also I sometimes have a persistent urge to urinate but I don't seem to have to and sometimes little come out. I'm 17 and healthy besides this weird issue. Should I be worried?

Hi Milton,

I have had a problem with prostatitis since I was in my late teens and early 20's and on. I had most of the symptoms that Dr. Singh has mentioned with the exeption of a fever at times. I cannot remember too many times when I had prostatitis and having a fever at the same times. If I did have an infection, it was usually due to a UTI, or kidney infections. Other infections would be epididymitis and orchitis were present.

One thing that I believe that might be a problem with you is the fact that you mention that you push hard during a bowel movement. This can also partialy be the cause of your problems. I recently came down with fecal retention, and had noticed that during these situations I also exeprienced problems with my bladder and prostate. The prostate is located very close to the rectum. Most times the rectum should be empty, if it is not and it is contained with hard fecal matter, then this fecal matter presses up against the prostate creating more discomfort. If you do have problems with constipation try to become more regular. There are several over the counter products that should aid in having bowel movements. I have no explination for the white matter discharged.

Very recently, I was told that I have a small bladder as well. It was suggested to use a bit of bowel to enlarge the bladder. This idea some what makes me concerned and I'm not comfortable of making that decission right now.

All the best,

Ron

Thanks doc and I just got back from the doctor to have a college physical and check up done. I took a urine test and everything was clean. My mom reminded me that when I was younger my bladder was to small and I had trouble holding my urine. I'm not sure if that has something to do with anything. Also the flicking of the tip of the penis has stopped basically..when I think about it it happens but if I don't nothing happens at all. The burning urination I believe is a mind thing to. It still has a odor though. I'm goin to a urologist on a later date.
Thanks you so much you are a huge help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From these symptoms any prostatic inflammation or obstruction causing the urine stream to be split and post voiding dribbling needs to be ruled out. The typical symptoms of prostatitis are fever, pelvic, testicle, or rectal pain, frequent and painful urination and ejaculation and incomplete emptying of bladder.

Please consult a urologist and get a digital examination of the prostate and your PSA levels checked. You may also need a cystoscopy to look for any obstruction in the urine flow.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.

Also I forgot to mention that my urine comes out in 2 streams a lot of the times and then forms to one. Also when having a BM a white semen like substance comes out when I push hard.  This only happens when I use the the bathroom. Also when I'm about to be done urinating my urine seems to dribble out and drip. So idk if this changes anything but thanks so much for your help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Tingling sensation of the penis can be due to anxiety, contact dermatitis, traumatic damage to the nerves of penis, diabetes, prostatitis, genital herpes, urethritis and STD’s like Gonorrhea and Syphilis but they are less likely in your case.

I would suggest you to keep the area clean and wear cotton underwears. Also apply a mild steroid cream on the penis. If the symptoms persist then the above said conditions especially urethritis have to be ruled out. Please consult a urologist in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
