I'm 45 and have been taking Tramadol for at least 10 years for a back injury. I would take between 600-800mgs. Per day. Sometimes recommended dosage, other times 6 in a shot followed by a couple before bed so I didn't withdraw. I would put 4 pills on my bed stand every day. First thing I did when I awoke and last thing I did before sleep. If I would wake up feeling wrestles I would always notice I forgot my bed dose. My wife had a seizure after taking close to 20 in a few hours so I never took more than 10 in a day. Her seizure helped me from really going over 800mg. I have a doctor that would give me 240 each month which I'd usually refill the first day insurance would allow then I'd move up my doctor appointment or slow my dosage so I never had less than 5 available before refill. Since my disc degeneration has reached the point of surgery, I no longer see my old doctor. He referred me to a surgeon and I have surgery in 3 weeks.
