Vicodin and Percocet Withdrawl(withdrawal)

To be honest my story doesn't sound much different from the next. My wife was in a car accident, 3 knee surgeries later and so on... I injured or aggravated an old disc injury trying to fill in as full time nurse to my injured wife, father and mother to my son, and worked full time supporting the family. My wife already was over rx's so I asked her for a perc. Almost 2 years later her we find ourselves full blown addicts, we never had the intention but our previous addiction experience with meth; after 15 years clean... got the better of us. I am in day 4 from 4-10/10mg percs a day. My wife is just at the 24hr mark coming down from just as many percs although she was switched to Vicodin a month or so ago and already made that transition.

I am feeling better as of late or was, until we had it out (argument/reconciliation) and came to a mutual understanding and realization that we are both addicts. Today we flushed 100 or so Vicodin, almost a full refill; damn... Not to mention all opiate based medications in our home; DILAUDID, morphine derivatives, hidden percs, and vics. You know your an addicts when you don't know where you hid all your meds from each other...

So I am feeling strong enough to excise again and mentally too, but watching my wife and holding her hand and basically going through all the early stages again by her side is making me restart all my early stages of W/D again. My head is pounding I am craving... I guess I will just have to push through, I am almost sure it is mental. And we did have rather huge life decisions made today. Is it normal to start W/D all over again after 4 days clean just because my spouse is at the 24 hr stage? God help us get through this.
