Vicodin n Xanax WD

by Chi708, May 14, 2008 07:21PM
I have been on here a time or 2 and you all have helped me tremendously. I now wanted to share w/ everyone some things that i learned these past couple of months about xanax wd. I came on here a couple of months ago about my vicodin addiction (which its day 9 for me WHOO HOO) and was talking about my boyfriend and his addicition. Long story short we were both abusing vik's and xanax. I wasn't taking nearly as much as he was. He would take at least 30 viks a day and mix them with about 6-7 xanax bars a day. Last wednesday was seizure no. 3 for him this month. After further research i found out that xanax is the cause of his seizures. 24 - 72 hours after stopping xanax u will go into wd. Depending on your usage, you can experience a variety of different symptoms the worst one being seizures. He went into detox and is now on day 7 today. This is now the longest he has went w/o pills since Dec. Same for me. I wanted to bring awareness about this to you all. Xanax is a scary drug and the doctors told us it is the hardest drug for one to come off of that is prescribed. Please spread the word to anyone you know that is abusing xanax that they can experience wd to this extent. Seizures are nothing to mess around with and one of the scariest things you will ever see. And yes, they can kill you. The funny thing is my boyfriend could've had more than one seizure, he doesn't remember anything once it happens. The only reason he know he had 3 this month is because I witnessed them. NOW, he can't drive for 6 months he had to take a leave of absence from work for 60 days and is on about 2 anti seizure meds for the next 5 years. Please spread the word about xanax. No drug is better than the other but when it comes to falling down into a seizure as a possible wd symtom i think it will help people think twice about popping a xanax.
